BACK INJURY:SLIPPED DISC

ALSO CALLED: SPINAL DISC HERNIATION

: A CONDITION THAT REFERS TO A PROBLEM WITH A RUBBERY DISC BETWEEN THE SPINAL BONES.

THIS CONDITION OCCURS WHEN THE SOFT CENTRE OF AN SPINAL DISC PUSHES THROUGH A CRACK IN THE TOUGHER EXTERIOR casing.

MY experience:

LAST YEAR WHILE DOING DEADLIFT AT THE GYM I LIFTED HEAVY WEIGHT WITHOUT PROPER GUIDANCE AND DUE TO MY MISTAKE, I INVITED THIS INJURY. AT FIRST, I DID SOME REHAB EXERCISES AND I RECOVERED BUT LATER WHEN I AGAIN TRIED THE WORKOUT THE PAIN CAME BACK AND MADE ME QUIT THE GYM.

NOW THE QUESTION ARISES THAT HOW I FOUND OUT THAT I AM HAVING DISC HERNIATION.

 MINE WERE:- FOOT NUMBNESS, STIFF NECK, LEG NUMBNESS, PAIN IN BACK, FOOT AND LEG

BELOW DOWN ARE THE MAIN SYMPTOMS:-

PAIN AREAS: BACK, FOOT, OR LEG

MUSCULAR: MUSCLE WEAKNESS, MUSCLE SPASMS, OR OVERACTIVE REFLEXES

SENSORY: LEG NUMBNESS, PINS AND NEEDLES, OR UNCOMFORTABLE TINGLING AND BURNING

ALSO COMMON: FOOT NUMBNESS, HAND NUMBNESS, OR STIFF NECK.

HOW CAN WE PREVENT BACK INJURY?

WHILE DOING GYM ALWAYS WEAR A BELT.

DON'T DO EXERCISES WITHOUT PROPER GUIDANCE.

DON'T LIFT HEAVY IF YOUR BODY IS NOT READY FOR IT.

ALWAYS WARM UP YOUR BODY BEFORE ANY WORKOUT OR BEFORE PLAYING ANY GAME.

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO COOL DOWN YOUR BODY AFTER THE WORKOUT SESSION IS OVER.
